1. Each set of microscope and instrument has its specialty. It is necessary to discuss the experiment content and possible
medication treatment with the lab personnel before application in order to ensure the data quality and usability.
In the meanwhile, it is also required to complete the experiment description form

   2. Applicants/Users are required to notify the lab personnel when signing up the work sessions. (Microscope
and microslicer). It is necessary for applicants/users to confirm the online schedule (right bar ) after booking
in order to ensure the time and microscope system are both correct.

   3. The number of reservations for electrophysiology core facility will increase from 4 to 8, starting from next year (2021/01/01).
Applicant/users must complete all sessions to continue another booking.

   4. The service and instrument sessions are hourly rated. It is suggested to apply Half-day or Full-day session
depending on each experiment condition. Each session is basically 3-8 hours. Final service fee will be
charged according to actual hours used.

   5. In order to encourage the applicants to learn electrophysiological technique, we provide free tutoring session
for 4 times without any charges. After the tutoring sessions, there are 2 sessions remaining for lab personnel
to guide alongside (users operate by themselves). The 2 remaining sessions are charged as self-operated fee.

   6. Brain slice experiment must take full day session. Cell-line experiment is allowed to apply for half day session.

       - Half-day：AM 09:00~PM 12:00 or PM 1:00~PM 6:00

       - Full-day：AM 09:00~PM 6:00 (lunch break 1hr.)

   7. Currently there is only one microslicer on duty. In addition to the microslicer, we also provide blade for brain slices,
bone scissors, scissors, spatulas, spoons, forceps, beakers, weighing bottle, O2 mixture, super glue,
filter paper, scalpel, ACSF and agar without additional charge.

   8. If there is any special need while operating brain slices, it is suggested to discuss with lab personnel
before operation.

   9. Microslicer open hour: AM9:00-12:00. Applicants who have signed the session on the day obtain higher priority in
the usage of microslicer. It will be charged by each unit (mice/rat).

   10. It is necessary for applicants/users to fill in registration form every session before and after the experiment.
All the instrument should be cleaned carefully then notify the lab personnel to confirm the instrument condition.
If the applicants/users would like to authorize the lab personnel to fill in the form, sign at the memo column of the
form.

   11. Glass electronodes and stimulation electronodes are provided by core. Please be ware that the stimulation
electronodes are extremely fragile and easily broken. Each pair of electronodes is handmade by lab personnel.
The materials of each pair cost more than 2000 NTD. Please be careful while using the set. Used glass electronodes
should be disposed in the isolated recycle bin after experiment. It is not allowed to dispose used electonodes at
ease.

   12. Since specific sample or long-term preparations are needed for certain experiment, the cancellation should be
brought up to the lab personnel 72 hours prior to the session to reduce unexpected vacant hours. Applicants/users
who cancel the reservation within 72 hours prior to the session will be conducted as “urgent cancellation”. Weekend
and holidays are excluded. The hour calculation is at workday only. If “urgent cancellation” occurs more than 3 times
in 6 months, applicants/users will be suspended for 3 months. It is not allowed to apply for any sessions during
suspension.

   13. Force majeure such as typhoon, earthquake, building construction, electrical noise, which discontinue the session.
The session will not be off charged.
